A Los Angeles County Superior Court judge has been arrested on suspicion of drunken driving. The Los Angeles Times reports Judge John Thaddeus Doyle, 56, was arrested late Thursday night when he was pulled over in Baldwin Hills for a traffic violation.

Police: Stabber Likely Targeted Ventura Woman
Authorities say the June stabbing death of a 61-year-old woman in a Ventura home was likely a targeted killing and not the result of a bungled burglary. Ventura Police Lt. Ray Vance says investigators believe the killing was not a random stabbing. He declined to elaborate because of the ongoing investigation.

2 Men Charged After Police Find Tons Of Explosives
Two Southern California men have been charged with explosives possession after police raided a Torrance home and found 3,400 pounds of explosives. Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, says Brian Flanigan was charged Thursday with possession of ingredients to make a destructive device and possession of an explosive.
